Scot Thigpen, CPA/PFS, CFP® is President of Solomon Financial Advisors, LLC. In March of 2009, after much thought and prayerful consideration, Scot made the decision to form his own company. As quoted, “My chief goal in this new venture is to use my God-given gifts, along with my eighteen years of investment experience, to serve my existing clients and welcome new clients. This is the time for principled advice, earned trust, wise counsel, and dedicated service.” Scot graduated from Mississippi State University in 1987 with a degree in accounting. He began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick as a CPA before beginning his investment career with Merrill Lynch in 1991. He joined Executive Financial Planning (EFP, Inc.) as a partner in 1999 before selling his practice in 2006 to Stanford Group Company. He is the author of Chasing Solomon, and a contributing guest columnist for Metro Christian Living magazine. Scot's personal interests include bicycling, triathlons, tennis, and hunting. He and his wife Kimberly are the parents of two boys; Peyton and Bowen.
Theresa McMullin began her career in client services upon graduating from Texas A&M in 1981. She started in the retail industry working in management for Dillard’s and then on to be the District Manager for Limited Express before beginning her career in financial services. Theresa has a heart for service. “I want our clients and anyone that has contact with us at Solomon Financial Advisors, to have the satisfaction of knowing that I have done everything I can to give dedicated service in a timely matter,” Theresa states. She has learned that one of our client's greatest needs is a person who can give them the time and attention that they deserve. Theresa does this with a constant smile and enthusiasm.
Theresa began working with Scot Thigpen in 2006. When Scot made the decision to begin Solomon Financial Advisors, she was right there to help with the transition. Her years of client services and administrative knowledge helped the conversion go smooth.
Theresa graduated with a BBA in marketing. She has passed the FINRA Series 6 and 63 exams and is also Health, Life and Accident licensed in MS. She is active in her church and community and enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Theresa and her husband Scott are parents of three children, Gordon, Garrett, and Kathleen.

Travis graduated from Mississippi State University in 2008 with a BBA degree in risk management, insurance, and financial planning. While attending MSU, Travis was President of Kappa Sigma fraternity, where he was recognized as one of the top ten Outstanding Presidents in the country from within 260 chapters. He was an Alumni Delegate and an active member in Reformed University Fellowship campus ministries. He worked in a summer internship program with Solomon Financial Advisors in 2009. Travis then obtained his MBA from Mississippi State University in August 2010. He served on the Tennessee Valley Authority Investment Committee, helping manage a portfolio of assets for TVA. He holds a Series 7, Series 66 licenses, as well as his life / health /accident licenses. Travis will immediately begin his studies to become a CFP. Travis and his family are lifetime members of First Baptist Church of Jackson. His personal interests include hunting, fishing, and triathlons.
